Reflection: Balance Through Self-Support
The final step in this series, this model explores how stability can emerge from the extension of an identical form. Here, equilibrium is achieved through the tube's own shape: a doubling that allows the object to rely on its own nature for support.
The piece is a direct continuation of the original tube, upon which the Kiddush glass rests. Delicately soldered at only a few points of contact, the glass appears to levitate while being anchored by its own extension.
The Concept
The idea was to conclude the series with a balance born from a mastered imbalance. Unlike previous models that used external elements (sphere, arch, frame, plate), this one finds its verticality through geometric repetition.
The Continuous Form: The base tube serves as an architectural pedestal, offering a structural mirror to the vessel.
Aerial Connection: The minimal solder points create a visual tension between the fall and the support, resulting in a perfect internal equilibrium.
Aesthetics
A monolithic and pure silhouette. It is a silent dialogue between two segments of the same form, transforming brass into a sculpture of pure stability.
