Mini + Fold: Minimalist Equilibrium
The "Mini" collection was born from a personal desire: to create a special Kiddush Kos for my daughter. For this model, I wanted to take on the challenge of applying one of my guiding principles—the fold—to the delicate, curved form of the mini Kos that cannot stand on its own.
In this composition, a folded maillechort metal plate is paired with a tube, allowing the entire structure to float in perfect balance. This strategic fold creates a sculptural base that grounds the glass while providing a carefully controlled suspension. Each element contributes to a total harmony between material, function, and intention.
 
Concept & Technicality
The piece is conceived as a sculpture where void and solid spaces dialogue to stabilize the Kos.
The Structural Fold: The folded metal plate does not just act as a base; it becomes the frame that holds and stabilizes the silver cup.
Controlled Suspension: The minimalist design allows the glass to appear as if it is levitating while being firmly supported by the metal structure.
 
Aesthetics
A striking contrast between the brilliance of the silver and the geometric rigor of the maillechort. "Mini + Fold" is the expression of minimalist balance where the act of folding transforms a simple plate into an elegant architectural support.
