Kos 13
Mini + Frame: Equilibrium through Nesting
Designing this glass was both a technical challenge and a real pleasure. This model elevates the "Mini" collection through a nearly mechanical assembly system. Here, the frame is not just a support; it is an indispensable extension of the object itself.
The secret to its stability lies in its junction points: hemispheres are soldered with millimeter precision directly onto the body of the Kos. These half-spheres allow the removable structure to nest perfectly into place, creating a natural lock through simple gravity.
Concept & Technicality
It is a refined interplay between invisible complexity and visual simplicity. Without its frame, the glass deliberately loses its center of gravity; with it, it becomes a perfectly anchored sculpture.
Hemispherical Junctions: A fixed ball-joint system that allows the frame to "become one" with the silver body seamlessly.
Dependent Stability: The piece celebrates the tension where balance relies on a precise fit, elevating a functional object into a sculptural gesture.
Aesthetics
An architectural and airy silhouette. The silver frame seems to draw the space around the Kos, highlighting its rounded form while providing a rigorous geometric base. It is the purest expression of uncompromising design.
