Kos 12
Mini + Bridge: Equilibrium through Docking
This model from the "Mini" series explores absolute interdependence. The Kos, unable to stand on its own, features a silver sphere soldered to its side, serving as a docking point. Stability is only achieved when the glass literally snaps into its support.
The support itself is a maillechort bridge, delicately drilled with openings evoking a constellation. One of these stars is functional: it receives the Kos's sphere, allowing the glass to levitate at an angle, held by this unique connection.
The Concept
The idea was to create an object that requires a precise gesture, almost a ritual within the ritual.
The Docking Point: The lateral sphere transforms the glass into an "orbital" piece that finds its center of gravity once connected to the bridge.
The Constellation: The drilling work on the maillechort creates a play of light and void, transforming a metal plate into an abstract sky.
Aesthetics
A meeting between the geometric rigor of the bridge and the softness of the mini Kos. "Mini + Bridge" is a technical sculpture that celebrates connection—between the object and its support, and between the gesture and the balance.
