In the framework of the mechanisms course, I intuitively focused on the theme of water. I wanted to combine royal mechanisms with the natural movement of water. With Danny's help, I tried to clarify what drew me to this topic.
Water serves as a source of inspiration for many studies across diverse sciences (biology, hydrology, physics). It is also present in most cultures, sometimes representing life, other times linked to purification, with each culture having its own perception and expression. Furthermore, water is a source of political and geographical conflict. In summary, everyone can feel personally connected to the topic of water.
What occupied me among all these issues is the duality that represents this material.
This duality begins with the etymology of the word in Hebrew. It is a palindrome; it can be read in both directions like a mirror. The word is double, much like the meaning I attribute to it: water is the source of all forms of life but can also destroy them rapidly.
To translate this duality and balance, I decided to use water bubbles connected by a tube. Additionally, I wanted to create a meeting point between the amorphous shapes of water and the metal that supports them.
For this purpose, I created a series of three different rings, each based on a different mechanism that produces various movements: the first ring creates a circular motion, the second ring produces vertical movement, and the third ring creates a vibrating effect.
These three movements represent balance and imbalance in the play of water.

במסגרת הקורס המנגנונים התמקדתי באופן די אינטואיטיבי על נושא המים. רציתי לשלב בין מנגנונים מלכותיים לתנועה הטבעית של המים.

המים מהווים מקור השראה למחקרים רבים במדעים מגוונים (ביולוגיה, הידרולוגיה, פיזיקה). כמו כן הם נוכחים ברוב התרבויות השונות : פעם מייצגות את החיים פעם את קשורות לנושא הטהרה וכל אחת ואחת עם התפיסה והפרשה משלה. הם גם מהווים מקור לסכסוך פוליטי וגיאוגרפי. לסיכום : כל אדם יכול להרגיש מעורב ברמה שלו לנושא המים.
מה שהעסיק אותי בין כל הסוגיות האלה הינה הדואליות המייצגת את החומר הזה.
דואליות שמתחילה באטימולוגיה של המילה בעברית. זוהי מילת פלינדרום; ניתן לקרוא אותה בשני הכיוונים כמו מראה. המילה היא כפולה כמו המשמעות שאני מייחסת לה: המים הם המקור לכל צורת חיים אבל גם יכולים להרוס אותם במהירות רבה.
כדי לתרגם את הדואליות הזאת ואת האיזון החלטתי להשתמש בבועות מים עם צינור שמחבר אותן.
יתר על כן, רציתי ליצור מפגש בין הצורות האמורפיות של מים לבין המתכת התומכת בהם.
למטרה זו יצרתי סדרה של שלוש טבעות שונות מבסוסות כל אחת על המנגנון אחר שיוצר תנועות שונות : הראשונה היא תנועה עגולה, השנייה היא תנועה אנכית והשלישית היא רוטטיבית.
שלושת התנועות מייצגות איזון ואי איזון במשחקי המים.
